MAP provided designs for new shop fronts for the iconic 9 Queens Road Central building for Chesterfield International. The previous owner occupier was Hermes and they had built a much bespoke shop front not suitable for commercial tenants.
MAP had to develop a design that was acceptable to the Building Management and satisfied the Client requirements for luxury destination street front retail and marry it with the existing mannerism stone clad facade and stone canopy and some bizarre land ownership boundaries that excluded little triangles of land adjacent to the entrances of each shop.
The design uses quality materials, polished bronze stainless steel frames and curved low iron laminated glass shop fronts. The recent riots required the installation of horizontal roll out security shutters across the shop front.
Incorporation of LED strip-lighting into the shop front design completed the complex installation. The design has already proved its flexibility in suiting a range of retail offers including contemporary art galleries, jewelry and lifestyle shops.
Once again, MAP has provided unique solution that is “right for the brand”.
