“MAP was approached by a private Saudi Arabian client to provide a concept for a world-class entertainment and gaming resort in Casablanca with a luxury hotel and apartments, a very large retail centre and a casino. It was a highly culturally sensitive project coupled by its proximity to the Grand Mosque and its 50 story high minaret at the end of the Corniche.
MAP produced a landmark design which was visionary and bold to create a brand new waterfront destination for recreation and gaming. It pre-empted the architecture of the Burj Al Arab. A man made beach and marina were also included in the redevelopment of the Corniche as well as two separate suites of high quality shops with apartments above, creating a whole new environment in the centre of the city.”
