HKUST commissioned MAP to design the next generation of junior staff housing for the campus in Tai Po Tsai. The floor to floor was raised to 3 metres which requires a mid-landing in the escape stair because it exceeds 16 risers. The proportion of the façade is enhanced by the greater floor to floor height.
