“The Panacea is a gated group of five luxury villas in Bophut on the island of Phuket over looking Bophut Bay and Koh Phangan. While each villa has a flavor of its own, they are all sophisticated and elegant with striking modern architectural features with Thai influences, high quality finishes and appliances, opulent furnishings and materials, and superb sea view from every room.
Thick, lush tropical gardens with stone walls provide privacy and peace from each sister villa. Each residence offers full sea views with 4-6 king size bedrooms with ensuites, large living and dining areas, and an infinity edge swimming pool and sala. A separate pavilion features a show kitchen, wet kitchen and maid’s quarters so guests can be served conveniently and discreetly.
House five in the group (Praana) is considered one of the best villas on Koh Samui with 360 degree views from the top of the hill. Guests enter over a koi pond and are greeted by bronze Buddhas which sit peacefully in niches in the blue free stone walls, the walls which form the base of the villa itself. House 5 contains six double bedrooms with en suite outdoor bathrooms and spas, a massive main sala for evening entertainment – complete with a grand piano – and an island bar.
Boredom is not an option when staying at the villa, with a 20-seat private cinema, a Muay Thai boxing ring, a tennis court with fabulous views over the coconut palm plantations, and a private, fully fitted-out gym and changing-room.
The outside is as luxurious as the inner living areas with indoor and outdoor areas melding harmoniously. A day sala is provided for barbeques by the pool, there is a 25 metre infinity pool and a plunge pool to cool off in, and a swim-up bar for sundowner cocktails overlooking the sea.”
