“MAP is providing executive architectural services for a 40-key luxury hotel in Niseko Japan.
The Hotel is located on the edge of the Shiribetsu river escarpment and the master plan is designed to maximise the views of the famous Yotei volcano from each room, create a formal courtyard and place the main pavilion in the wilderness.
The style is Japanese post modern. Japanese think it’s western, westerners think it’s Japanese. Old people think it’s nostalgic and young people think it’s cool.
The CFA is 9,000 m2 and room size is 45 m2 gross. The main pavilion seats 140 people and has main bar, sushi bar, all day dining Teppanyaki bar and two private dining rooms.
On the lower ground floor, there are three mixed sense onsens with Yotei views and three spa treatment rooms with consultation room.
There is a gym and yoga room and access to the running track around the Ginto precinct.
The project will start construction in 2018.”
