“MAP was commissioned by Lynx Properties to design a 17 studio apartments and a small marina on the beach front in Thong Krut on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand.
The developer required a high level of detail design in order to obtain approval from the relevant Thai authorities. MAP provided concept design, detailed plans, sections and detailed drawings for lighting, electrics, external details (i.e. roof, stairs), windows, kitchens, wardrobes etc. A landscape strategy, outline specifications and finishes were also provided.
Having worked on many developments in Koh Samui MAP provided advisory services and prepared the submissions for Government approvals. MAP also appointed and managed the local consultant structural and M&E engineers.
Once give the green light by Government, apartment sales became critical for the developer so they could move from design phase into construction. MAP provided high quality renders, architectural models and sample interior designs to enable them to sell the development. MAP also helped set up the sales office on the main tourist beach, Chaweng.
Soon after approvals were received, the development was sold.”
