MAP provided architecture and AP services in relation to the renovation of a 1960 tenement house in Kennedy Town on the praya with stunning harbour views. MAP applied to BD for approval for a 10 stop lift to serve the building. MAP was able to demolish one of the stair penthouses and return that space to the roof terrace of the penthouse. The other stair was also altered to provide private access from the penthouse to the roof. This added value to the building. The window sills were then lowered to 700 and the whole façade re-glazed with a Technical system. The Urban Renewal Authority use this project as a “poster child” for Urban renewal in HK.
